Gameplay overview

Robot audition

AI Gate turns CAPTCHA conventions on their head. Instead of proving you're human, you must show robotic discipline through a queue of mini-trials. A stage manager shuffles objectives from logic sequences to binary conversions and cursor traps. Clear them in sequence to advance. Fail a task and the gatekeeper restarts your run with a snarky “HUMAN IDENTIFIED” dismissal.

Expect rapid shifts between math drills, binary toggles, and precision tests as the gatekeeper probes your robotic instincts.

Stages & trials

Logic & code checks

Solve Fibonacci-style progressions, translate hexadecimal bytes into binary, and flip a 4×4 grid to match a randomly generated monochrome payload. Later, deduce missing inputs on a logic gate diagram or answer trick prompts like “Does this emotion show happiness?” with the delightfully robotic response: “I don't know.”

Precision gauntlet

Watch for bait buttons. Some scatter around the screen or sprint away whenever your cursor gets close. Another stage hides essential UI behind a sea of invisible elements—you'll need to read emphasized text and find the secret submit control without second-guessing yourself.

Rulesets & modifiers

Lockdowns

Between objectives, AI Gate introduces rule changes. One removes your cursor, another forbids right-clicks, while a movement audit penalises wide mouse arcs. You'll also encounter a “no edits” restriction that fails the run if you press Backspace or Delete. Master these constraints because they persist until you reach the finale.

Master mode

Beat the gatekeeper five times to unlock Master Mode. Flip the switch at the hub to remix the stage order with tougher modifiers, stringing the strict rulesets back-to-back for a punishing speedrun.

Controls & tips

Inputs

  • Mouse or touch controls handle button presses, hidden elements, and the evasive cursor test.
  • Keyboard input is required for algorithm results, binary answers, and stealthy quote entry.
  • Avoid Backspace or Delete whenever the “no edits” rule is active—one slip ends the run.

Optimization advice

  • Copy binary payloads to scrap paper or your brain before toggling cells to minimise mistakes.
  • During the dodge trial, herd the wandering “proceed” button into a corner and click decisively.
  • Train yourself to recognise Fibonacci and square number patterns so the algorithm stage becomes automatic.

Frequently asked questions

Need a quick answer?

Q: How long is a full run?
A: The stage manager cycles through roughly a dozen mini-games. Expect a few minutes per run until you memorise the solutions.

Q: Why did the loading bar fail me?
A: It is a trap. Click the progress element early to prove you don't “waste time.” Waiting until it fills triggers a fail state.

Q: Can I add my own challenges?
A: Yes. Fork the MIT-licensed repository, create a new objective or ruleset component, and submit a pull request.
